the orange challenge

The day of the CHA super show, I picked up a tote bag. Cute red handles but it was advertising the name of a big chain store that needs no advertising. Starts with an "M"... and since I work at Ben Franklin's... an independent craft store. . . I couldn't have that. But it was Free and I am all about free!
So last night i gessoed and painted over the logo, but dog gone it... you could still see it. So i used some fabric scraps and covered it up, added some painted hearts. The orange accents looked pretty cute with the awful red handles.
I added a sewn sheet protector tag for someone to add their name and address in... and a few SRM Press stickers and voila!
I sewed a fabric heart to the outside of the sheet protector and added a Maya Road frosted house tag... and another SRM Press sticker.
All you need is love and this cute hand painted, stitched and detailed tote made by me on this rainy day. Enter my 28 Days of doing a creative thing each and every day... and you might be a winner. The challenge begins tomorrow February first and runs for 28 days... good luck

OK, I'm in. I usually do something creative everyday anyway but this will keep me inspired. I will need to get back in the scrapbooking mode and there's always sewing to keep me busy. Love ya!
