not this but that.....

So tonight I have a few shout outs.... first, to my son. He and his girlfriend have created a great new blog called not this but that. It is kind of a guerrilla act of kindness blog. They are creating small works of heart and leaving them in coat pockets at clothing stores, or on windsheilds or just on a telephone pole. Simple and lovely. We all should get behind this and what a world it word be.... give it a try. Kindness....
Next... I have a new web friend, Jessica who's blog...
Inspired Mama Designs featured an interview with yours truly today. It was her first one and I was very honored when she asked me to talk about myself... I love to tell people about my art and where it has taken me. So i did! She would be tickled if you read it and joined to follow her blog. She does some fun stuff with arts and crafts! Check her out... thanks Jessica

And... last, my own Random Act of Kindness. Last night at my Sierra ATC's group ( those are some of the cards shown above)... the girls gave me $60 cash. Why? Well... i will tell you. I told my friend Karen about how my daughter had to sell 4 yearbook ads to get rid of an "F" grade in her yearbook class. Yep... that's the truth. In this world, your grade depends on how many ads you can sell. Is that ridiculous or what. In this time with the economy the way it is... it's hard enough to afford to purchase a $70 yearbook. So... whe had sold two ads... one to me, for what... who knows... but that's what you do for your kids and one to a friends biz that's actually doing well. 2 more to go. So these AMAZING ladies all chipped in $5 to come up with the $60 needed for ad number three. Yippie. I cried. Really. Our ad is going to read... from Sierra ATC's ... always traded, never sold.
Thanks ladies.... for your random act of kindness. Truly amazing.

Go out and do something ultra cool for a stranger... or someone you know. You will be amazed at how great you will feel - no matter how crappy you are feeling. You will smile. I promise!

I love these stories! I will practice Kurtis' version of kindness and leave some reminders for people while I'm out.

You have done more acts of kindness to me than I can even list. Like when you made that adorable embroidery after Wyatt was born. I still keep it tucked away with all of his personal birth stuff. Real friends have a way of always coming together.
