On the third day of Christmas... a scrapbook page and a story. This is a page of an altered calendar from SRM Press. I didn't want any photos, just a fun calendar. So each month has a vintage picture, some lace and embellishments. Each one is sewn onto the paper... I love that technique.
Ok... now the story - a true one. A clerk at a liquor store was robbed by a man with a hooded sweatshirt and a bat a few years ago. The clerk pulled out a gun and made the robber get on his knees. The clerk put the gun on the man, opened his till and gave the man $40 and a loaf of bread and sent him on his way. Just this week... in this wild world... the clerk received an envelope. In it ..... $50 and a note that read... " Thank you for the $40 and the bread. You changed my life. I have a job, a child and I am a new man just because of your kindness". Remember that this year when you have no money for gifts and remember... it's the little things that may touch someone more than an XBox!!! Now, get a kleenex and get crafting!
